Thank you for using DailyLog. This Privacy Policy explains what data DailyLog collects, how it is used, and your rights regarding that data.

DailyLog is a personal work and attendance tracking application designed for individual users. We are committed to protecting your privacy. Please read this policy carefully.

2. Data We Collect

2.1 Data You Provide

DailyLog stores the following data locally on your device:

Work entry records (start time, end time, break duration, overtime, notes)
Daily notes
Tasks and to-do items
Leave records and leave type configurations
Morning routine items and completion logs
User preferences and settings (work hours, wage rate, country, notification preferences, language)

2.2 Data We Do NOT Collect

DailyLog does not collect, transmit, or store any of the following:

Personal identification information (name, email address, phone number, etc.)
Location data
Device identifiers or advertising IDs
Usage analytics or crash reports sent to our servers
Any data on external servers operated by us

3. How Your Data Is Stored

All data entered into DailyLog is stored exclusively on your device using:

Room (SQLite) — for work entries, notes, tasks, leave records, and routine data
DataStore (Preferences) — for user profile settings and preferences

Your data never leaves your device unless you explicitly choose to use the Google Drive backup feature (see Section 5).

4. How Your Data Is Used

Your data is used solely to provide the features of the app:

Calculating worked hours, missing hours, and overtime
Estimating gross earnings based on your entered wage rate
Generating monthly reports
Sending local notifications as reminders (work entry and exit reminders)
Displaying your tasks, notes, and leave history

5. In-App Purchases (Google Play Billing)

DailyLog offers a one-time Premium purchase via Google Play Billing. All payment transactions are handled entirely by Google Play. DailyLog does not collect, process, or store any payment information (credit card numbers, billing addresses, etc.).

6. Notifications

DailyLog may send local push notifications as work entry and exit reminders. These notifications are generated entirely on your device and do not involve any external servers. You can enable or disable notifications at any time from the app’s Settings screen or your device’s notification settings.

Notifications are not sent on public holidays, days off, or days you have marked as leave.

7. Third-Party Services

DailyLog uses the following third-party services:

No other third-party SDKs, analytics tools, or advertising networks are integrated into DailyLog.

8. Children’s Privacy

DailyLog is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the app, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

9. Data Retention and Deletion

Since all data is stored locally on your device, you are in full control:

Delete individual records at any time within the app.
Delete all data at once using the “Delete All Data” option in Settings (this action is irreversible).
Uninstalling the app will remove all locally stored data from your device.

10. Your Rights

Depending on your country of residence, you may have the following rights:

Right to access — You can view all your data directly within the app.
Right to deletion — You can delete your data at any time within the app or by uninstalling it.
Right to portability — Your data can be exported via the monthly report export feature (Excel/PDF).

Since DailyLog does not transmit your data to any external server operated by us, most data subject requests can be fulfilled directly by you within the app.

11. Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your data:

All data is stored locally on your device and protected by your device’s built-in security (screen lock, encryption).

12. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of the app after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
